Cartoonist Kate Evans and award-winning animator Majid Adin discuss their work, artistically exploring stories of migration, dislocation, and hope.
Majid Adin is an Iranian award-winning artist. Forced to leave his home country because of his political cartoons, he now lives in London. He creates animations about the refugee experience, including the beautiful official music video for Elton John’s Rocket Man: https://youtu.be/DtVBCG6ThDk
Kate Evans is a cartoonist, author and activist. Her brief visits to the Calais Jungle refugee camp provided the material for her fifth graphic novel Threads from the Refugee Crisis which won the Broken Frontier Award for Graphic Non-Fiction 2017.
